I was reading articles about TV shows and then I stumbled upon the series LOST. At first I thought it was just the same sci-fi series that everyone usually sees on TV...but I WAS WRONG!

What intrigued me the most was there were Asian actors in this series, particularly Korean actors namely Daniel Dae Kim and Yunjin Kim. I started researching about their films and series and I was surprised to learn that Yunjin Kim was the actress in the movie Shiri (I really liked that movie!!!). And so, I began reading about their characters in lost and at that instance...I started loving the characters and the story.

After a couple of weeks, I began my series marathon...I could not believe that this series was really GREAT!!!( I can't find words to describe the impact of this series to me. @-@) I loved each character in the series but the most endearing for me were Sun and Jin. The love story was intense, passionate and romantic. Both Daniel Dae Kim and Yunjin Kim are really superb and convincing actors!

The plot of the series was always interesting and mysterious...it's like a novel that you can't stop reading till the end to get answers for all of your questions.

This was the movie that I was really waiting for...to finally see Jet Lee and Jackie Chan together in a movie.

I was really thrilled when I watched their fight scenes in the movie, it was like a dream come true. Although, I expected more fight scenes and much serious lot...but I guessed this is just like a fantasy movie. Well, I really looked forward in seeing those two super stars together!

Pops in Seoul - Manila Party

I went to Manila Film Center last July 5,2008 to attend Pops in Seoul's 1000th episode in Manila. It showcased the show's VJ Isak and KPOP artist Evan. Filipino fans of KPOP artists namely Super Junior, TVXQ, Big Bang and Wonder Girls to name a few, were all present to support their favorite groups.

I was lucky enough to be invited by the SuJuPi group to join this event. Thanks to my friend who is an active member of the group.

Hopefully, the next time Pops in Seoul will visit the Philippines, a KPOP group will also be there as well.

Hana Yori Dango VS Meteor Garden

I've enjoyed watching both dramas but I just want to share my opinions about them:

1. Both dramas are addicting.
2. Both dramas have gorgeous actors.

Doumyoji Tsukasa(Matsumoto Jun) vs. Dao Ming Si (Jerry Yan):They both are good actors. But when it comes to action scenes, I think Matsumoto has the advantage he is really good at it and very credible. Jerry on the other hand is very fierce looking Dao Ming Si, he is also a convincing actor.

Tsukushi Makino(Inoue Mao) vs. Shan Cai (Barbie Xu):They both are beautiful actress. Inoue is a funny, cute and bubbly version of the main protagonist while Barbie is the mature and dramatic one. They both played their roles well.

Hana Yori Dango vs. Meteor Garden: Meteor Garden has a very enticing, complicated and dragging plot while Hana Yori Dango is brief, unexpected and refreshing.

However both dramas are really worth watching!!!

Matsumoto Jun and Inoue Mao

The two main lead stars of Hana Yori Dango are lovable. They both played the roles well. In my opinion, the roles were really tailor made for them. There are rumors that they may have a reel and real romance, well who knows?! (In reality, how I wish those rumors and speculations are true!!! *^-^*)

They have the charismatic on-screen chemistry and both of them are cute and gorgeous!

I just wish to see both of them working again in another project after Hana Yori Dango Final.

Hana Yori Dango - FINAL!

(Image is taken from: http://yuckie-chan.livejournal.com/)

This is one of the most anticipated movie for me. As a Hana Yori Dango and Mao/Jun fan, I just can't really wait for this one. This will be the final sequel of the Doumyouji-Makino love story.

This movie will be shown in Japan as of writing (June 28,2008).

Here's some information about the movie, I got this from: http://www.ampedasia.com/

Fans of the "Hana Yori Dango" drama series will get one more chance to see the cast in action, as a movie has been announced for the summer of 2008. Titled "Hana Yori Dango Final," the film is being described as the last chapter of the live-action adaptation.

This will be Mao Inoue's first starring role in a movie. Jun Matsumoto, Shun Oguri, Shota Matsuda, and Tsuyoshi Abe will reprise their roles as the group known as "F4."

The film is set one year after Tsukushi Makino's graduation. The story focuses on a major incident that the five main characters become involved in, while also depicting the ups and downs of Tsukushi and Tsukasa's relationship.

Filming is scheduled to take place overseas for about two months, starting in January. The series' director Yasuharu Ishii will helm the picture. The story is currently being developed by the original mangaka Yoko Kamio and the series' screenwriter Mikio Satake (actor Takayuki Takuma).

Inoue Mao (as Makino Tsukushi) - Last spurt! I will do my best!!
Matsumoto Jun (as Domyoji Tsukasa) - We made you wait, didn't we!
Oguri Shun (as Hanazawa Rui) - I'm sleepy...but if I can see everyone (again, I will do it.)
Matsuda Shoota (as Nishikado Soojiroo) - Keep your hopes up for the finale.
Abe Tsuyoshi (as Mimasaka Akira) - Lets meet at the movie theater. [hehe he wrote in Chinese.]

200 Pounds Beauty

It's been quite late but I would still write my opinion about this k-movie...

This has been the best romance-comedy I've ever seen. I think this movie made a big impression on me about what beauty is. It showed the reality that women are facing; insecurities, self-esteem and real love.

The main character Hanna overcomes all of these circumstances by accepting what she is.
Her transformation from a big fat ghost singer to a sultry diva is very impressing, everything seemed so real! But what is most interesting is how she realized the importance of self-acceptance, family and friends.

Here's a gist of what the movie is all about: (Taken from Han Cinema)

Hanna is a lip sync vocalist for Ami, the famous Korean pop singer. Even though she is always ignored because of her appearance, she has been a bright and lighthearted girl until Amy humiliates her in front of Sang-jun, her secret love. At last she makes a decision of a lifetime to have plastic surgery all over her body. Her unrequited love gets any return?

-----------
I think the producers of this movie is thinking of making a sequel for this, check this out:

ArrayIn the midst of sequels being planned for The War Of Flower and Le Grand Chef, there is also a sequel being planned for '200 Pounds Beauty', which reached 6.62 million viewers last year.

The producing group of the movie, KM Culture, has revealed that they are currently making a scenario due to overflowing requests from fans.

Writer Lee Han I, who also wrote the drama "Bodyguard", starring Cha Seung-won, is writing the scenario. The main plot is that Hanna has "yo-yo syndrome". It is expected to contain events that happen to Hanna, who is gaining weight again after turning from a fat woman to a beauty with plastic surgery and dieting.

Writer Lee has added, "The plan is that Hanna will gain weight again but will be recognized as a true singer. But we will add the element of comedy and will highlight the first movie, which was a comedy but had a message to society".

The basic framework is that Hanna, who has become fat again, tries to lose weight, but ultimately realizes that it is talent, not looks, that makes her a true singer.

In reality, there is Big Mama, a group who has earned recognition for their singing skills and not for their looks. Also, SBS entertainment program, 'I Love Sunday' introduced a corner called 'Change', where Lee Hyori transformed into a fat woman, and viewers have said that they felt both the realness and humor of the situation.

The director and main character has not bee settled.

KM Culture says, "Thankfully, Kim Ah-joong has said to tell her first if the scenario for the sequel comes out. There are several actresses other than Kim Ah-joong who are interested in the scenario due to the success of the first movie".
